2023-2024; We are expanding to become a licensed independent school in the state of Maryland. We will grow to serve K-7 (ages 4-13). Annual tuition is $12,680 with a yearly registration fee of $375 per family. We will be located in the area of 301 & 50 in Bowie, Maryland.

We work to structure The Patuxent School, an Acton Academy as a high-value and low-cost education experience and hope to provide financial assistance in the future.

Our school is learner driven and supports growth of independent learners. We ask families interested in joining to investigate and contemplate if this style of education will serve your child.

2. Submit your Application

3. Family Interview

After we receive the completed application form, we’d love to meet your child & family. The family interview is an excellent way for us to get to know your child and allow them to understand the experience of learning at The Patuxent School, an Acton Academy. We seek to ensure it will be a great fit for your learner and for the program.

4. Membership Decision

We will convey a preliminary decision on membership very soon after the interview day. Membership to our program will be confirmed upon receipt of the registration fee, and signed program documents. A one-month deposit will ensure and hold your placement. Ensuring a good fit between each child and family with Acton is essential. For that reason, admission remains subject to review of former school records, and the discretion of The Patuxent School based on information obtained prior to the start of the year
